5 YOGA POSES FOR GOLFERS

  1. Seated Twist -(Inhale) Arms up overhead, exhale, twist to your left. Place our right hand on the outside of your left thigh. Inhale. Exhale, twist a little deeper. Again. Repeat for other side.

  2. Bridge Pose – Lay on your back, bend you knees, place your feet on the ground. You should be able to tickle your ankles with your fingertips. Inhale, lift up. Engage your glutes, hamstrings, and core.

  3. Supta Baddha Konasana – Lay on your back. Let the soles of the feet touch and knees hang out to the side to open up the hips. You can place a block to the side to support your knees or under your shoulder blades for a modified stretch.

  4. Twisted Lunge – Find a plank. Step foot forward and then slowly open up the opposite arm to the ceiling. Keep back leg and core engaged. Repeat other side.

  5. Supine Twist – Lay on your back. Hug your right knee to your chest. Use your left hand to guide your knee over to your left. Gaze to the right. Repeat other side.
